Why
Titanium?
Titanium
is the 22 nd element on the
periodic table, but its unique
properties make it the first
choice for many high-tech
applications.
Approximately
60% less dense than steel,
Titanium produces tools that
are nearly half the weight
of their metal counterparts.
Yet it is also extraordinarily
strong, with a greater strength-to-weight
ratio than stainless and annealed
steel or aluminum. Titanium
also offers superior, high
heat transfer efficiency.
Because
it contains no iron (non-ferrous),
Titanium is non-magnetic.
This is crucial for sophisticated
aerospace, bio-medical and
diagnostic imaging machines
that rely on powerful magnets:
MRI, NMR Magnets, Bio-Med
equipment, PET-CT scanners
and increasingly popular High
Tesla Magnets.
Non-ferrous
Titanium tools are also highly
corrosion resistant, making
them ideal for applications
involving acids and alkalis,
and for use in natural, saltwater
and marine environments.
Imprex International,
Inc. uses only the highest
grade of Titanium that can
be utilized for tool
production-6AL-4V. We deliver
the world's largest selection
of 6AL-4V tools for every
application-from single wrenches
to specialized kits customized
for major manufacturer
makes and models.
