WHY NON-FERROUS?

WHY NON-FERROUS?

WHAT IS NON-FERROUS?

Generally more expensive than ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals possess desirable properties such as lighter weight, higher conductivity, non-magnetic properties, and resistance to corrosion. Many industries require non-ferrous tools due to the magnetic qualities of ferrous tools, which can cause a projectile or missile like effect. Ferrous-based materials, nickel alloys, and most stainless steel materials are not compatible with MRI or other diagnostic imaging environments. When these materials are exposed to a strong magnetic field, they can be pulled violently toward the magnetic source. If using tools around a 1.5T magnet or higher we recommend our titanium line of tools.

NON-FERROUS TOOL APPLICATIONS

Using only the highest-grade titanium available (6AL-4V), we supply servicing tools to a number of industries including, aerospace, bio-medical, and diagnostic imaging.

BIOMEDICAL

Our tools have played a vital role in the technological advances in knowledge of engineering, biology and medicine. Allowing for improvements in human health through cross-disciplinary activities that integrate engineering and biomedical sciences with clinical practice.

AEROSPACE

Our tools meet the strict requirements of the Aerospace Industry, in which engineers apply both scientific and technological principles to the research, design, development, maintenance and performance testing of aircraft.

DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING

Our tools provide technicians with a more secure alternative when working on clinical open & closed bore MRI machines. Such machines produce a magnetic force measured in teslas (T), with most MRI machines ranging between 1-1.5T, with more powerful units at 3.0T. If using tools around a 1.5T magnet or higher we recommend our titanium line of tools.
